what is a House Church?
A house church is a smaller gathering of people meeting in homes to pursue Jesus together through prayer, Scripture, meals, worship, and authentic community. Instead of primarily gathering in rows, we gather in relationships.
Is a house church a "real" church?
Absolutely. The early church primarily met in homes, and we believe church is ultimately about people following Jesus together, not a building. We still teach Scripture, pray, worship, serve, care for one another, and live on mission together.
What happens at a house church gathering?
Most gatherings last around 2–3 hours and typically include a shared meal, worship, conversation, prayer, and time in Scripture together. More than anything, it feels like getting together with a great group of people who know your name, care about your life, support you, laugh with you, and pray with you through both the good and hard moments of life.

Frequently asked Questions
Are house leaders credentialed?
Infuse Church is led by credentialed pastors and trained house church leaders who work together to shepherd, teach, and care for our church community. Each house church leader is either a lay minister credentialed through the church board or actively in the ordination process to become an official pastor. Our leaders are trained, supported, and accountable to the leadership of Infuse Church because we believe spiritual leadership should be both relational and accountable, not isolated or independent.
How are house churches different than small groups?
A house church is more than a Bible study or midweek small group added onto church life, it is the primary way we gather as a church community. Instead of simply attending a service and then joining a group later, worship, prayer, discipleship, meals, care, and community all happen together within the house church itself. In many ways, it feels less like adding another meeting to your schedule and more like doing everyday life with people who are intentionally following Jesus together.
Do I have to know the Bible or be a Christian to come?
Not at all. Many people exploring faith feel more comfortable in a home environment than a large church service. You can ask questions, listen, participate as much or as little as you’d like, and grow at your own pace.
What about kids and youth?
Kids and students are an important part of house church life. Some gatherings include dedicated spaces or lessons for kids, while others intentionally involve children in parts of worship, prayer, meals, and conversations. Our heart is for the next generation to experience authentic faith, meaningful relationships, and a church community where they are truly known and valued, not just dropped off in a classroom.

Rows to rooms podcast
Rows to Rooms is Infuse’s podcast documenting our transition from a traditional Sunday‑centered church in Tiffin to house churches. We walk honestly through the process—sharing the theology, leadership decisions, fears, breakthroughs, and obedience that have shaped the journey.
