DEDICATION
WHAT IS CHILD DEDICATION?
Child Dedication is an opportunity for parents to publicly commit to raising their child in a way that honors God and gives them the opportunity to eventually make a personal decision to follow Jesus. It's also a time for family, friends, and our Infuse community to say we will partner with you as you raise and love your child.
bAPTISM VS. dedication
Baptism is an outward symbol of an inward decision to follow Jesus Christ. Dedication is a commitment on the part of the family and the church community to raising a child in a way that honor's God and gives that child the opportunity to make the decision to follow Jesus in the future. Neither physical baptism or dedication equates to salvation, salvation is only through putting faith in Jesus Christ.
DAY OF DEDICATION
On the day of dedication, we invite parents onto the platform for a brief statement from the pastor or leader followed by a prayer. Parents will receive a small gift from the church after the service. We encourage you to invite your friends and extended family to be a part of this service and dedication.
